The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a 3,000-kilometer-long network of roads, railways and pipelines to transport oil and gas from southern Pakistan to China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, a project that was first proposed by China's Premier Li Keqiang and his counterpart Nawaz Sharif, on May 22, 2013 in Islamabad, Pakistan.
