CPPCC session opens in NE China

The 11th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the governmental policy advisory body, opened its 4th session in the city of Changchun, the provincial capital, on Jan 25, with its chairman, Huang Yanming, delivering the annual work report on behalf of the provincial standing committee.

There were 506 members taking part who are expected to submit development proposals and attend group discussions, meetings and a plenary meeting during the four-day session.

Also present at the opening ceremony were the provincial Party secretary, Bayinchaolu, the governor, Jiang Liangchao, and other officials.
