Employers will continue to look for talent during the upcoming China-Northeast Asia Expo from Sept 1 to 6 in Changchun, Jilin province.

Over the past five years, the China-Northeast Asia Expo has made huge progress in offering better services. This year, a total of 390 booths, free recruitment posters, lunch and drinking water will be offered to companies at the job fair, and job hunters will get free admission.

The organizing committee is now accepting reservations, and has sent over 500 invitation letters to talent service centers and universities around the country. They have also sent invitation letters to 118 municipal talent service centers, hoping that they will invite local companies to attend the Expo.

The job fair is gaining more global attention, with countries such as the UK, France, Sweden, Ukraine, Israel and Japan attending. In 2013, there was an area specifically for international talent exchanges and international education exchanges.

A total of 21 foreign colleges and universities, 10 overseas studies agencies and seven local high schools and universities attended. The fair has also drawn attention from more regions in China.

In 2009, most participating enterprises came from Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong province, and northeastern provinces of Heilongjiang and Liaoning. In 2013, the fair attracted companies from seven provinces and municipalities: Beijing, Hebei, Zhejiang, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Anhui and Shandong.

The job fair was initiated by the Jilin provincial government. The government decided to hold job fairs during the annual China-Northeast Asia Expo to promote employment and stimulate economic development.
