Innovative approach to Jilin private sector Huang Xingwei, a Jilin provincial People’s Congress member, has suggested that the government do more to nurture the private sector since it is not as mature as the State-owned enterprises in the province.

Huang, who is also CEO of the Long Teng Energy Development Co, went on to say that, in addition to government support, innovation is needed for private companies’growth and used his company as an example, by saying, "We’ve worked with Jilin University and Northeast Dianli University on new technology for oil shale development for several years, and will apply it to our daily work for the foreseeable future."
