2014-12-03

China Development Bank signed an MOU with Jilin province with the aim of providing more financial support for the latter’s economic development in the foreseeable future.

During the signing ceremony, Wang Yongsheng, deputy president of China Development Bank, introduced its plan for Jilin’s economic growth.

"Our bank will be closely involved in economic revitalization by offering more financial support," Wang said.

In response to the deputy president’s comment, Jiang Liangchao, governor of the province, thanked the bank’s contribution to Jilin and then called for the bank to offer more loans and customized financial products catering to the local economic situation.

Present at the signing ceremony were representatives from two entities.

Based in Beijing, the China Development Bank is a State-owned financial institution primarily responsible for raising funding for large infrastructure projects, including the Three Gorges Dam and Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Previously, it helped remove a few of Jilin’s old industrial bases.
