“The China-Northeast Asia Expo will bring more regional economies to Changchun to further promote regional economic cooperation,” said Zhang Yunling, prominent scholar on the Asia-Pacific regional economy.

“Each economy in the region has its own advantages, thus leaving a large space for complementary relationships.”

The 10th China-Northeast Asia Expo will be held in Changchun, Jilin province, from Sept 1 to 6, 2015, with expansion to areas of technology, culture, education, law and tourism.

The China-Northeast Asia Expo plays a vital role in further deepening cooperative ties among Northeast Asian countries whose GDP accounts for 20 percent of the global total volume. It also helps to expand possible cooperative areas, experts said.

Over the last nine years, the expo has held several fruitful international forums with the participation of Chinese leaders and government heads from other Northeast Asian countries. Now, the expo is the premier space for leaders in the region to discuss issues concerning enlarging regional cooperation and deepening ties.

Many participants in the expo were Fortune 500 companies, top State-owned enterprises and leading privately-owned companies.

Charles. Morrison, an expert from Hawaii-based East-West Center, said, “More American companies will be interested in the expo as the Northeast Asian region speeds up development.”
