Microsoft innovation center boosts smart city establishment in Changchun

Microsoft’s innovation center in Changchun city, Northeastern China’s Jilin province, launched its innovation platform on Oct 16. A seminar about smart cities and innovation was held simultaneously in Changchun Jingyue national high-tech industrial development zone.

Established on Dec 18, 2013, the innovation park is the first auto industry innovation park that Microsoft has launched in the world.

It is also a platform for IT players from all over the world to communicate on technologies and offer them an opportunity to integrate resources. Furthermore, the park serves as a gateway to bring in IT resources and technological innovation for Jilin.

Aimed at progressing a smart city in Changchun, the innovation center will take on the responsibilities of technological innovation as well as entrepreneurship.
