Cosplayers draw attention to themselves

Cosplay enthusiasts pose in a photo studio in Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei province, July 7, 2010. Cosplayers like to dress up as anime and manga characters. They often speak Chinese-Japanese during conversation, watch Japanese TV soaps and wear an exaggerated look seen in Japanese comic books. While having thrived in Japan for more than 20 years, cosplay culture has just recently become popular in China, and the craze for cosplay is the latest trend to hit China's teenagers, who are already immersed in a pervasive culture of Japanese anime and gaming.
