Using milk foam, caramel or chocolate to draw small pictures is a common method for decorating coffee.

However, My Cofi, a coffee bar in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, has started a new trend. Bar owner Chang Kuei-fang began making 3D creations of pets, cartoon characters and more six years ago. Nowadays, more than half of her customers order coffee with these kinds of decorations. Some customers even bring their pets or pictures to inspire her creations.

It takes 5 to 10 minutes to make a cup of 3D latte, which costs 250 to 600 Taiwan dollars ($5 to 20) compared to 150 Taiwan dollars ($4) for an ordinary one.
