Foreign students experience Qingming culture

An event based around the 24 Solar Terms is underway, and it has been focusing on the fifth solar term, Clear and Bright, whose first day is also a traditional Chinese festival, Qingming Festival or Tomb Sweeping Day.

A series of activities are being held at Southwest University in Chongqing municipality to introduce and present traditional customs during Qingming Festival, such as shooting willow branches with arrows, making headbands with willow, tou hu (pitch-pot game in which participants throw arrows into a pot), paper-cut, making green rice balls and tasting tea. Many foreign students got involved to experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.
