Large Medium SmallThe First Plenary Session of the 18th Communist Party of China Central Committee was held in Beijing on Nov 15, 2012. Xi Jinping presided over the plenum and delivered an important speech.
The plenum elected a new central leadership, including members of the Political Bureau, and members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau. Xi Jinping was elected general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
