A total of 60 staff members from Nippon Paint China walked around Fengjing old town in Shanghai on May 16. It was the third time for Nippon Paint China to take part in the charity project, named "Walking for Kids", which was initiated by the Shanghai United Foundation (SUF).

In addition to the staff members, present at the event were 150 volunteers, who were led by Eric Chung, President of Nippon Paint China. Julien Seth Malland, dubbed the "hottest French street artist", was invited to draw 10 works of graffiti on walls along the walking route, which became the highlight of the event. The graffiti attracted many walkers to take photos and record the moment.

This year's project received sponsorship from Nippon Paint China and Baosteel, which set up five service points along the route to offer supplies to walkers, including cold drinks, fruit, snacks and bandages.

Forty-four walkers from Nippon Paint China finished the 50-km route in 13 hours and collected a total of 150,000 yuan ($24,530) in donations. The money will be devoted to fund the SUF and Nippon Paint's other charity project, "Color, Way of Love".

Ariel Wu, Group PR and CSR & Brand Communication Director of Nippon Paint China & Nipsea Group said, "The activity showed the passion that Nippon Paint's staff has for charity work and Nippon Paint's efforts to fulfill corporate social responsibility. Moreover, we appreciate the support from Baosteel."
