SHIJIAZHUANG - Yingli Green Energy Holding Co, the world's largest photovoltaic module manufacturer, said on Saturday that its Turkish subsidiary will supply 30 megawatt (MW) of photovoltaic modules to Tekno Ray Solar, Turkey's fastest-growing solar energy company.

According to an agreement, the solar modules will be delivered from the second quarter of 2014 through the first quarter of 2015 and will be installed in several large solar projects in southern Turkey.

"In Turkey, which has Europe's richest solar resources, we believe that we need to utilize the sun in order to contribute to both the economy and the environment," Tekno's Chairman Altay Coskunoglu said in a press release.

"Establishing partnerships with Turkey's leading PV project investors is a key driver of our strategy," said Dimitrios Bachadakis, Managing Director of Yingli Green Energy South East Europe.

"We are delighted to reach a new milestone in the market development in Turkey with Tekno Ray Solar," said Miao Liansheng, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yingli Green Energy. "We look forward to enhancing our presence in this high-potential solar energy market," said Miao.

Headquartered in the city of Baoding, some 150 km southwest of Beijing, Yingli Green Energy has more than 30 regional subsidiaries and branch offices and has distributed more than 9,000 MW PV modules to customers worldwide.
