Chinese and Philippine law enforcement authorities jointly repatriated more than 100 suspects involved in gambling and fraud-related crimes on Friday, marking another achievement in bilateral cooperation against transnational crime, according to the Chinese embassy in the Philippines.
Since 2023, law enforcement authorities from the two countries have cooperated in the repatriation of more than 2,600 criminal suspects, the embassy said.
China remains firmly committed to combating transnational crimes, including illegal gambling and fraud, and stands ready to strengthen cooperation with Philippine law enforcement authorities, the embassy said.
It added that China is willing to take all necessary measures in cooperation with the Philippine side to safeguard normal people-to-people exchanges and economic and trade activities between the two countries.
