On the US shopping website Amazon.com, the brand Dream Pairs consistently ranks among the best sellers in the women's shoes category. Meanwhile, the men's brand Bruno Marc and the outdoor label NORTIV 8 also hold top positions on major North American shopping platforms. However, few shoppers realize that all these brands are owned by a company headquartered in China.
Miracle Miles Group, based in Changsha, Central China's Hunan province, sold over 30 million pairs of shoes in the United States last year, generating more than 6 billion yuan ($900 million) in revenue, according to Xie Mengling, the company's brand marketing manager. In the first nine months of this year, sales on cross-border platforms reached 5.13 billion yuan, marking a nearly 20 percent increase year-on-year.
