A man who killed three and subsequently injured two responding police officers in Shangnan county of Shangluo, Shaanxi province, was found dead at an abandoned house in what police are calling a suicide.
Sun, 41, attacked multiple people with a knife over a relationship dispute at around 5 am on Wednesday. He eventually fled the scene, according to a notice sent by the county's public security bureau on Friday afternoon.
The notice said that at around 10 am on Friday, his body was found at a house deep in the mountains, 25 kilometers away from the county's urban areas.
The case is still under investigation.
