On Nov 1, China's Ministry of National Defense released a video titled Who's Turning History Upside Down?, criticizing the second season of the Japanese spy thriller VIVANT for deliberately twisting the facts and depicting "Chinese operatives" using torture methods employed by Japanese invaders against Chinese resistance fighters, in an attempt to whitewash Japan's history of aggression.
