Xi to meet Swiss president

President Xi Jinping will meet with President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin during the Swiss leader's three-day working visit to China, which will start on Friday.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the China-Switzerland innovative strategic partnership, and Switzerland was the first country on the European continent to sign a free trade agreement with China in 2013.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said in Beijing on Wednesday that China will work with Switzerland to bring more benefits to the two peoples, more convenience to business communities in both countries, and more certainty to the growth of the world economy through stable China-Switzerland relations.
