2026 Content Creators Carnival opens in Guangzhou
The 2026 Content Creators Carnival kicked off on Friday in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, attracting more than 500 online content creators from around the world, youth representatives from APEC member economies, representatives of Multi-Channel Network agencies, mainstream media outlets, and brands.
Participants discussed the development of the content industry, artificial intelligence applications, the inheritance of South China intangible cultural heritage, and the export of Guangdong products, said organizers during the two-day event.
Guided by the Publicity Department and the Cyberspace Affairs Office of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, the event aims to build a platform for global creators to exchange and learn from each other, promote AI integration and engagement, and bring stories of China, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Guangdong province to a broader global stage.
The carnival features a diverse lineup of themed exhibition zones, creator bootcamps, and live shows, according to organizers.
An exhibition zone dedicated to the province's specialty products sells intangible cultural heritage handicrafts and souvenirs alongside premium brands.
Tencent has a zone equipped with interactive installations, and the Creator Interactive Check-in Experience Zone brings together creators from diverse backgrounds.
