Shenzhen, one of China's innovation hubs, has become increasingly charming with its modern urban elements and high-tech products, while its mangrove-covered coastline is unique for bridging land and sea.
China Daily reporter Yan An recently visited the International Mangrove Center, one of China's efforts to protect the mangroves, and had a talk with a program officer, Tahiry Fanomezana Rakotomamonjy.
The foreign officer said that she was deeply impressed by the unique urban landscape of Shenzhen, where the bustling city skyline and lush mangrove forest coexist in a striking contrast.
