Infinigence AI raises record 2.3b yuan in Series C funding round
Infinigence AI, a Chinese artificial intelligence-native infrastructure company, completed a 2.3 billion yuan ($343.7 million) Series C funding round on Monday, bringing its total funding since establishment to 4.3 billion yuan.
Both figures set records for single-round and cumulative fundraising in China's AI-native infrastructure sector, according to investment consulting firm ChinaVenture.
Founded in 2023 as a technology commercialization venture associated with Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Infinigence AI has attracted investors spanning state-backed funds, industrial investors and financial institutions. Its investors include Lenovo, Tencent, Baidu, HongShan Capital, Qiming Venture Partners and Shunwei Capital, alongside other investors.
The company focuses on connecting computing resources, AI model inference and industry applications through an infrastructure strategy it calls "Agentic Infra". Its framework comprises a computing resource hub, a token production platform and an AI productivity platform serving enterprise customers.
The company's computing platform has access to 37,000 petaflops of computing capacity and supports 16 types of mainstream chips, according to the company. It has also developed a heterogeneous computing platform designed to support large-scale model training across different chip architectures.
In July, Infinigence AI introduced a new inference architecture at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference. The company said the system reduced time to first token by 51.5 percent and could lower the cost per token by 37.5 percent.
Its agentic MaaS (model-as-a-service) platform recorded a 40-fold increase in daily token calls by July compared with December 2025, while the company said technical improvements had reduced inference costs by tenfold over the past year.
Infinigence AI has worked with major Chinese model developers, including Zhipu AI and Moonshot AI, and has developed infrastructure solutions for sectors such as healthcare, energy, legal services and entertainment.
As demand for AI inference grows, the company is seeking to improve computing efficiency and lower deployment costs while helping businesses translate AI capabilities into practical applications.
