During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, Ma'anshan welcomed more than 50,000 visitors.
As the village attracts more visitors, residents can simply sell vegetables from their own gardens by the roadside and earn dozens of yuan a day, said Zhao.
According to him, the village's annual per capita income rose from 8,000 yuan in 2016 to 25,000 yuan in 2025.
"Nowadays, anyone willing to work can make money in our village, and fewer people are leaving to find jobs elsewhere," Zhao added.
He said the village plans to develop a hot spring wellness town, build sightseeing trails and establish an education camp focusing on revolutionary history.
