What can a bamboo bicycle carry?

Philippine bamboo bicycle maker Bambike Ecotours is showing how cultural heritage can be carried forward through innovation.

It's making a splash at the China-ASEAN Expo's Acceleration Week for China-ASEAN Youth Development Programs.

Since 2014, the project has combined locally made bamboo bicycles with cultural and historical tours, promoting sustainable tourism and ecological innovation.

For community lead Ian Carlo Enriquez, young people can do more than preserve tradition — they can also help drive innovation for the future.
