Youth docent program and immersive exhibits attract young visitors in Ulanhot
Two revolutionary landmarks in Ulanhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, are attracting young visitors through a youth docent program and immersive exhibits.
The site of the May First Conference marks the significant meeting held from April 23 to May 1, 1947, when 393 representatives of various ethnic groups gathered to establish the Inner Mongolia autonomous region government. Built in 1935, it is now a national education base for ethnic unity and progress and a national patriotism education demonstration base.
The nearby Inner Mongolia National Liberation Monument features seven main exhibition halls that cover themes such as awakening and resistance, the rise of revolution, and the victory of regional ethnic autonomy under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. It serves as a commemorative venue that vividly reflects and reproduces the historical process of Inner Mongolia's liberation and regional ethnic autonomy.
