Two dead, three missing after mudslide hits SW China's Sichuan

CHENGDU -- Two people have been found dead and three others are missing after a mudslide hit Southwest China's Sichuan province early Saturday, local authorities said.

The mudslide occurred near Zhiliuhe village in Yanbian county, Panzhihua city. The provincial emergency management department has dispatched a working team to the scene to guide rescue efforts.

Rescuers have found the remains of two people as of 10 pm and are still searching for the missing people.
