Uruguayan Mauro Ramos Pintos, a reporter from Brasil de Fato, experienced pottery-making in Huamao village, Zunyi, Guizhou province. He stumbled repeatedly at the very beginning, yet after learning from Mu Xiancai, the provincial-level inheritor of Huamao earthen pottery craftsmanship, and practicing tirelessly to master the right touch, he finally got the hang of the craft.

Among Mu's pottery works, the local earthen Guzi pottery pot stands out. It is used to cook Guzi Chicken, a time-honored traditional local delicacy of Huamao. The cooking method requires no added water. Instead, the dish simmers slowly for six hours, during which steam condenses inside the pot and drips back down, yielding tender chicken soup rich yet not greasy, which has won widespread acclaim among visitors and locals alike.
