Former Xianning CPPCC vice-chairman under investigation
Liu Zhongying, a member of the Party leadership group and vice-chairwoman of the Xianning Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Hubei province, is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party discipline and national laws, provincial anti-corruption watchdogs said on Friday.
The announcement was made by the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Hubei Provincial Commission of Supervision. No further details were released.
Public information shows that Liu, a native of Xianning, Hubei province, began her career in July 1989 and joined the CPC in April 1995.
She has held various positions in Xianning over the course of her career and currently serves as a member of the Party leadership group and vice-chairwoman of the Xianning Municipal Committee of the CPPCC.
