At 6 pm on Wednesday, the maritime safety administration in Zhejiang activated a Level-I emergency response for typhoon and flood control, the highest level, halting all water-related construction projects and suspending passenger ferry routes. Nearly 100,000 passengers are being evacuated from Zhoushan's islands. In anticipation of the typhoon, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port in Ningbo is expediting loading and unloading operations to ensure the orderly departure of container ships.
