Typhoon Narra makes landfall in Hainan

Tropical Storm Narra, the 19th typhoon of the year, made landfall along the coast of Changhua town in Changjiang Li autonomous county, Hainan province, at around 6:40 pm on Tuesday, according to local meteorological authorities.
At the time of landfall, the storm had maximum winds of 20 meters per second, or Force 8, near its center, with a minimum central pressure of 993 hectopascals.
Narra is forecast to move east-northeast and gradually weaken.
