Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian on Tuesday rebuked Palau President Surangel Whipps' remarks on China's recent intercontinental ballistic missile test, after the Pacific leader called for a "united front" against China over the missile test.
Whipps had claimed that "from China's standpoint, they want to let us know that any one of your islands, we can take out," and questioned China's choice of testing location.
Lin dismissed the remarks and stressed at a regular news briefing that China has already clarified its stance on the missile test, and that Whipps' comments are completely groundless, malicious, and not worth a response.
