China issues commemorative stamps marking birth centenary of late leader Jiang Zemin
BEIJING -- China Post on Monday issued a set of commemorative stamps to mark the centenary of the birth of late Chinese leader Jiang Zemin.
The set consists of two regular stamps and one souvenir sheet.
One stamp features Jiang Zemin in Shanghai in East China, while the other shows him at the 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
The souvenir sheet features Jiang Zemin waving to a marching crowd from the Tian'anmen Rostrum.
The two regular stamps have a total face value of 2.4 yuan (about 35.36 US cents), and the souvenir sheet is priced at 6 yuan. A total of 4 million sets of these stamps and 3.2 million souvenir sheets will be issued.
The stamps and the souvenir sheet will be available for six months at designated postal outlets, on the philatelic online platform and via the China Post mobile app.
Jiang passed away in 2022 at the age of 96.
