The 17th Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival officially kicked off on Saturday at the Beijing Olympic Museum, heralding a season of sports, culture, and community engagement as the city celebrates the 25th anniversary of its successful bid for the 2008 Olympic Games.
As the world's first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics, Beijing continues to draw on its rich dual Olympic legacy.
The festival, first launched in 2010, has grown into a signature event that brings the Olympic spirit to life through mass participation sports, youth education programs, cultural showcases, and international exchanges.
