16th Inner Mongolia Games kick off in Baotou

The 16th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Games kicked off on Saturday in Baotou to promote sportsmanship and strengthen ethnic unity.

The nine-day games include medal contests, as well as recreational events open to the public covering 37 sports. Over 14,000 athletes and coaches from all 12 leagues and cities in the region have gathered in Baotou for the event, encouraging residents to attend in person and experience the energy of sports competition.
