Cultural traffic is translating into sustained consumption. New venues, including the Shanghai Wonton pop-up lounge, F1 driver Zhou Guanyu's photography exhibition, Soul House bar and Bar Leone's Shanghai debut, have turned the historic block into a youth magnet, creating an around-the-clock experience of daytime exhibitions and markets paired with evening music and nightlife.
New programs were also unveiled at the meeting: the 9th Lu Xun Literature Prize — China's top literary award — will host events outside Beijing for the first time at Sinan with author dialogues and exhibitions, while century-old art house Duoyunxuan will launch all-ages aesthetic education courses.
