CCG takes control measures against Philippine vessels in Huangyan Island waters

The China Coast Guard has taken control measures against several Philippine vessels engaged in illegal activities in the waters under China's jurisdiction near Huangyan Island, according to an online statement issued by the CCG on Friday.

The measures were taken in accordance with the law, the statement said.

No further details were revealed.

On Thursday, Philippine vessels 3012 and 3018 intruded into the waters despite repeated warnings and dissuasion from the Chinese side. The CCG took necessary measures in accordance with the law, including tracking and monitoring the vessels, blocking their passage, and driving them away, according to the CCG.
