Brembo, CFMOTO team up to advance premium motorcycles

Brembo has signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement with CFMOTO to advance the development of the Chinese powersports company's high-performance motorcycles for global markets.

Under the agreement inked on Wednesday, Brembo will provide advanced technologies and technical expertise for CFMOTO's future motorcycle platforms through its portfolio of brands, including Bybre and J.Juan.

The cooperation will cover product development, technological innovation and global market expansion, moving beyond a traditional component supply relationship.

Bybre, Brembo's brand dedicated to braking systems for medium-displacement motorcycles, will play an important role in the partnership.

Combining Brembo's engineering expertise and Italian design heritage with efficient local manufacturing capabilities in China, Bybre provides reliable and high-quality braking solutions designed to deliver enhanced performance and confidence for riders.

The partnership builds on the long-standing cooperation between the two companies and aims to establish new standards in the premium motorcycle segment.

Through closer collaboration in research and development, the companies will work together to deliver more advanced braking solutions tailored to future CFMOTO motorcycles.

“Through our technical expertise and high-performance solutions, we aim to be a trusted long-term partner for CFMOTO and to contribute to the evolution of premium motorcycle standards,” said Paganessi.

Chen Zhiyong, vice-president of CFMOTO, said Brembo's expertise in braking technology and experience in top-level racing competitions will help enhance CFMOTO's product competitiveness.

“Brembo is widely recognized as a global benchmark in braking technology, with extensive technical expertise and practical experience from championships such as MotoGP,” Chen said. “We look forward to working together to deliver safer and world-class riding experiences for CFMOTO users worldwide.”

In addition to technology and product development, the two companies will expand cooperation in motorsport and brand activities.

Both CFMOTO and Brembo have strong connections with international racing.

Brembo has been deeply involved in premier competitions such as MotoGP, while CFMOTO has continued to pursue a “race-driven development” strategy through participation in events including MotoGP and the World Rally-Raid Championship.

As part of the partnership, Brembo will become a strategic partner of CFMOTO's Talent Project, supporting the development of young riders and contributing to the cultivation of future Chinese racing talent.

With this agreement, Brembo and CFMOTO will combine their respective strengths in technology, engineering and motorsport experience to accelerate innovation in the premium motorcycle market.
