21 dead in landslide in Gansu province

Twenty-one people were killed after a landslide struck Tanchang county in Longnan, Gansu province, and search and rescue operations have concluded, local authorities said at a news conference on Wednesday.
The landslide occurred at about 6:56 am on Tuesday, trapping 33 people. Of those affected, five escaped uninjured and seven sustained minor injuries, according to local authorities.
Following the disaster, emergency management, fire and rescue, public security, and other departments swiftly mobilized rescue teams to carry out search and rescue operations, local authorities said.
