BEIJING -- Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building charts the course for strengthening the century-old Communist Party of China (CPC) and building China into a great country, according to a think tank report released Thursday.
Titled "Contemporary Features and Global Significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building," the report was jointly issued by the National High-Level Think Tank of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Governance) and the National High-Level Think Tank of Xinhua News Agency.
Rooted in the sweeping history of the century-old Party, set against the backdrop of profound changes unseen in a century, and forged through the great practice of governing and strengthening the Party in the new era, the Thought emerged as a fundamental guideline for strengthening Party building in the new era, the report said.
The Thought remains committed to the value pursuit of "staying true to the Party's founding mission," embodies the political stance of putting the people first, highlights the central theme of exercising full and rigorous Party self-governance and points toward building a strong country and realizing the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation under the leadership of a strong Marxist political party, according to the report.
This is precisely the key to building a strong and thriving CPC, it added.
