Draft law on national fire and rescue personnel submitted for second reading
BEIJING -- A draft law on national fire and rescue personnel was submitted on Tuesday to the ongoing session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for a second reading.
The draft adds provisions establishing a system of occupational protection, ensuring that national fire and rescue personnel enjoy honors and rights commensurate with their duties and contributions.
It also stipulates that the country will strengthen occupational health protection for fire and rescue personnel by conducting regular health examinations and providing psychological assessment and counseling services when necessary.
In addition, the draft includes provisions on the establishment of a leave and vacation system that conforms to the professional characteristics of fire and rescue personnel.
