Pakistani PM says US-Iran deal likely finalized within 24 hours

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday that a peace deal between the United States and Iran is expected to be finalized within the next 24 hours, according to a statement posted on his social media account on X.
Sharif said the parties were "closer to a peace deal than ever before", adding that Pakistan was preparing for the electronic signing of the agreement, to be followed by technical-level talks next week.
He expressed gratitude to the United States and Iran for their ongoing commitment during the negotiations and offered appreciation to regional partners for their support, saying Pakistan was confident the "historic" deal would form a strong foundation for lasting peace.
