The Power Renewable Resources Recycling Center of State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company in Yongchuan district, Southwest China's Chongqing, has recycled a total of 26,700 metric tons of decommissioned power grid materials, cutting carbon emissions by approximately 1.12 million tons since its inception in 2022. Another highlight of the company's green initiatives includes the Jinshan 500-kilovolt Substation in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area and the Shibanpo 110-kV Substation in Yuzhong district. These substations have been seamlessly integrated with the architectural features of local stilted buildings, creating aesthetically pleasing power facilities that harmonize with the natural environment and urban landscape.

The center's achievements have been showcased at many significant domestic exhibitions, including the inaugural China International Supply Chain Expo, held in late 2023 in Beijing. Moreover, the center was recognized as a model case in the "Zero-Waste City" initiative by the Basel Convention Regional Center for Asia and the Pacific.
