Worried that tofu may raise breast cancer risk? Eat it moderately — no need to fear it! Soy isoflavones, often called plant estrogen, are not the same as human estrogen and work differently in the body. The American Institute for Cancer Research says studies do not link eating soy foods to a higher risk of breast cancer. Some research suggests moderate soy intake may be associated with lower risk.
