Senior official calls for relentless efforts to combat organized crime
BEIJING -- Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong on Wednesday called for intensifying crackdown on organized crime.
Wang, also a member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting on the sustained campaign against organized crime.
Wang called for efforts to make new achievements in the fight against organized crime and to create a sound political and social environment for a good start to the country's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30).
Wang called for a proactive approach, immediate action, and sustained efforts to crack down on organized crime.
He also emphasized the need to focus on key regions, enhance primary-level governance, and improve law-based governance to achieve lasting results and effect.
