Changbai Mountain's north and west slopes — which normally cost 105 yuan ($15.40) to visit — are offering free entrance until April 30. Visitors must make reservations in advance via the official Changbai Mountain WeChat mini-program. Shuttle buses and extra attractions are not included.

Access to Tianchi may be restricted due to bad weather; daily updates are posted in the morning. Visitors are advised to bring warm clothing, sunglasses and ultraviolet protection.
