Yale and Nankai University students join voices in a Tianjin concert

The event marked the 40th anniversary of the Whiffenpoofs' first tour in China. The Yale choir performed Chinese classics, including Jasmine Flower and The Brightest Star in the Night Sky, both sung in fluent Mandarin. Nankai's choir, a multiple world choral champion, presented a varied program ranging from the Latvian folk song Northern Lights to the playful Italian piece Insalata Italiana.
