Shanghai and Jiangsu integration boosts sports-tourism development
Details of the 2026 Suzhou Taihu Lake Digital Half Marathon were also revealed alongside the Jing'an race announcement, with the Shanghai-Jiangsu race linkage as a central highlight. Scheduled for March 29, the Suzhou event will feature a tech-powered digital track to complement the Jing'an race, creating a synergistic cross-regional event layout. Additionally, Jing'an race participants receive exclusive benefits at scenic spots like Suzhou Amusement Land and Taihu Lake Wetland Park, including free entry for themselves and half-price tickets for up to two family members.
Zhou Xiaoming, director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Suzhou High-tech Zone, said, "We are dedicated to transforming the Suzhou Taihu area into a hub for outdoor sports, driving the integration of culture, sports, and tourism along the Taihu Lake belt, and fostering a trendy sports consumption lifestyle."
