On Friday, the central division of the 2026 Heilongjiang Border Sports Games kicked off on the frozen Xiuen Lake in Jiejinkou Hezhe Ethnic town of Tongjiang city, Heilongjiang province.
As a part of the Heilongjiang Ice and Snow Sports Super League, the games are divided into eastern, central, and northern divisions. The opening match in Tongjiang attracted six teams from Tongjiang, Fuyuan city, Raohe county, Suibin county, Luobei county, and Jiayin county.
The event featured competitive sports and fun experiences, including traditional sports with a strong community base, such as snow soccer, as well as a variety of ethnic winter games like deer hairball, snow rabbit hunting, and archery.
