Several BRICS countries to conduct maritime military exercises near South Africa

Several BRICS countries will conduct joint maritime military exercises in the territorial waters and airspace near Simon's Town, South Africa, from early to mid-January, the Ministry of National Defense announced on Friday.
China, Russia, South Africa, and other BRICS nations will participate in the joint drills, which will focus on anti-terrorism, naval strikes, technical exchanges, and naval vessel tours.
The ministry stated in a media release that the joint military drills aim to deepen military cooperation among the participating countries and enhance their capabilities to counter naval threats.
