Resolving Taiwan question allows no external interference: FM Spokeswoman

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning on Friday reiterated that resolving the Taiwan question is a matter for the Chinese people and does not allow for external interference.

The remarks were made in response to Taiwan-related comments by United States President Donald Trump in an interview with The New York Times.

Speaking at a daily news briefing, Mao said Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory, and that the Taiwan question is purely China's internal affair.
