"This has been one of the most spectacular experiences of my life," Andrew Knack, mayor of Edmonton, Canada, said during a visit to Harbin — his first time visiting China. Marking 40 years of friendship, the sister cities meet again. Mayor Knack was deeply impressed with the Ice and Snow Festival despite temperatures of minus 20 C. In the future, the two cities — sharing similarly chilling temperatures, but warm hearts — will join hands to advance in areas such as the economy and tourism.
